A springless mattress has no springs inside; it is packed with filling of one kind or another instead. That makes for comfortable sleep, it does not develop dents and it does not collect dust. Its light weight means you can turn it over when you clean, but you do need to pick the right bed for it.

The European standard length is 2-2.1 m, and the width varies by type: small double – 140-160 cm, double – 180-200 cm.  Exclusive orders for non-standard sizes are also possible.

The American size chart differs from the European one. A European small double, for example, counts as a single in America, and 60x80 inches converts to 152.4x203.2 cm (European manufacturers do not make sizes with fractions like that).

Before you buy mattresses, remember the basic rule about which springless mattress to buy for a bed: a European bed takes a euro-size mattress, and American dimensions take an American one. Having a bed custom-made for a mattress  in a non-standard size costs considerably more, but it can be done.
